Once we pulled out all the aftermarket stuff and tapped everything up, it wasn't so bad. Just need to finish upholstering the new leather dash, replace a couple of pieces that broke (ugh - always seems to happen ...) and we can start to put it back together again.

Great job! I am so looking forward to seeing your Porsche at one of our upcoming events. Would you be up to writing an article for Bear Facts?

Absolutely. We are getting her ready for a spring camping trip with the family again this year.

Well, this one was a pain. And there are TWO blend doors!! I can't get the other one without going in from the bonnet. That is the one everyone fixes. But this second one can only be accessed from the dash, like another member did.

Using foam tape I have to cover the blend door. I don't see how you could do anything else.

This should do. Will have to get the other door from the front.

well, test fitted the new dash...

Looks like if anyone wants to switch the dash for one with a glovebox, you need a couple more parts then I first thought.

Need the following (I have it already):
bracket - 996.552.753.00
inner right air duct - 996.572.464.02

Just found out I need this too, sigh ...
outer air duct - 996.572.768.01
center air distributor duct - 996.572.171.04
central dash frame for 02-04

Going to have to order some parts off Ebay ... luckily not expensive. Just have to wait longer to put everything back together.

Stripping the 'asphalt' Paint finish off the trim using brake fluid. An old modeler's trick to get paint off plastic without damaging the plastic.

Are these mats available directly from Lloyd's? Didn't see them on their website. Thanks

I gave them the patterns to make the bonnet mat and the 2 shelf mats. They said they would make it available for everyone. We're even going to use my pictures, lol.
