Default Can I test ignition coils

Probably a dumb question...replaced my coils and plugs as they hadn't been changed yet (MY2002) and I had my mufflers off anyway to be Fister-ed. I was hoping that there was a way I can test the coils without starting the car. Since it is in storage in my basement and it has no mufflers. Can I do this with the Durametric somehow? I wasnt able to figure anything clever out.

Thanks

Without actually starting the car, the best way to test your coil packs would be to ensure the measured resistance is within manufacturer's spec. I don't know what spec is - but Googling should help.

The spec is "Resistance between pin 1 and pin 3 of the coil at 20°C: 0.3 - 0.7 ohms." in one of Loren's reply. If those are original coils, they are on their last legs anyways so may as well replace them preemptively.
