Default Anyone in Denver can look at a car?

I'm looking at at 911 Cab for sale at a dealer in Highland Ranch, CO. Anyone nearby that can take a look at it? PM if you can. Thanks.

Just had a nice conversation with Lucas ar 3R Racing. He was very knowledgeable about the 996. I bet he’d do a great PPI

I was going to volunteer as I'm in Denver next week, but Highlands Ranch is probably 1.5 hrs+ away from downtown + more if snowing.

If they want to drive it to downtown, I can help. But I won't be able to hear the cold start. And if it's snowing, they will probably decline anyway. Too bad the hyperloop isn't up yet.

Thanks for offering. Snow in Denver? Not this year LOL, It goes in to Premier (Dealer) Sat am for PPI.

Prices is $20,400, plus tax and dealer costs. 02 Cab Tip. Can't find evidence of IMS replacement. But pics of car look clean. Recent oil change. Have been able to track down most of the service history and it looks ok for oil changes based on mileage, but longer on time for several years. Both top motors have just been replaced. Tires are fairly recent. With IMS Pro and likely other services project to have $25k in it. Does this seem out of line for costs?

Would you consider posting the link (or at least a photo or two)? There are a couple cabs that have been floating around the Denver area since last spring- I assume there's something very wrong for them not to sell, and I'd be happy to let you know if it's one of them.

Certainly. I should have done this before. Thanks.

That high for a Tip in my opinion.
Have you compared pricing on CarGurus or Autotrader?

This isn't one of the cabs I was concerned about. I know this doesn't help you very much, but at least it's not one of the "zombies" that just hung around craigslist for months without a sale.

That's good to know it isn't on a list like that. The price is a little high, I agree. But ressonable mileage and options and service history. I haven't seen the car in person, just pics and discussion with salesman but I was thinking of having a PPI done by the local Porshce dealer and if that checks out then fly up and look it over and drive it back if a deal is done.

Lucky you. I'd be all over that FSI cab if I were you. Likely it will go for a premium, but keep in mind all of the preventative maintenance you're going to have to do if you got something like the one in Denver. Looks like a fresh build too - sad story, but it is what it is.

Thanks, Tim. This morning I decided to pass on this car at the final asking price. I could see myself with over $26k in the car real soon and maybe more, depending on what the PPI might find. Seller won't come off the price even if the PPI turns up something. Too bad, I liked the car and its options. Some overly long oil change intervals (time, not miles) can lead to leaky seals, new top, new front tires, IMSB, and maybe some top mechanism issues just scared me off. There will be another one on the market that will become mine. Until then, I'll have to suffer with the 968. :-)

BTW, I loved the pics of your cars, both are great colors too.

I did see it. Looks like about 6 days to go. I have a feeling this is going to be one of those cars that skyrockets in the last few hours. But, I'm sure going to watch, and see if I can sell everything I own to be there at the end.
