Default Momo steering wheel install

I’ve decided I’d like to have a momo prototipo steering wheel on my 996 for a little while at least. I’m looking for a shop or someone in so cal who can install it and keep the horn working and defeat the airbag light. Not sure it’s something I’d like to attempt myself without step by step instructions. I can even live with the airbag light on. Thanks

It's pretty simple to do if you want to try and tackle it yourself.

Have you bought a Prototipo yet? I'm a MOMO dealer.

I haven’t bought the wheel yet. send me some kind of info for purchase. I’d be willing to install myself with some kind of instructions. Would there be any PSM issues with removing the airbag?

PSM and the airbag are completely unrelated. If you don't want the airbag light on, install a resistor in place of the airbag module. 2.7 or 2.8 Ohm @ 0.5W.

I believe PSM monitors steering angle, but the airbag is uninvolved.

Be careful with the airbag removal. Disconnect the battery, follow precautions outlined in the various airbag removal threads here and Pelican. You can de-finger yourself - or worse - in milliseconds.

Not suggesting you should be fearful, but explosives are like firearms...intolerant of mistakes.
