I got the whole treatment (wheel wheels, door sill, etc) and would do it again in a heart beat.

I started out getting it on the M5. Have 77,000 on that and it has saved my paints bacon many, many times.

Put it on the P-car and it has done the same there. I have a spot on the center front of the hood where the vinyl has been cut and gouged (happened at the track) and yet the paint has NOT been chipped.
Above the vinyl line I have numerous small dings. None below.

There have been many pictures of the realative invisibility when installed. Check old threads. Color does seem to play a part. I've got Seal Grey so it wasn't an issue.

I'd say go for it....But make sure your installer is competent!!

I've got the ArmorFend installed on the hood and bumper and it's great. One piece of advice, though, is to make sure that your car is thoroughly buffed out before this stuff is installed. Otherwise, you'll be covering the swirls with the ArmorFend.

I got Armourfend and had it installed in Greenwich CT/Rye NY at the HQ. It was a few hours to install. I don't know which part of PA you are in but I drove from Cape Cod and thought it was worth it.

I've seen the Armourfend guys at Lime Rock before and I know Joe Kane Jr. has been to the track before. So they know what to look for.

All in all, it is good protection.

The brand does not matter as it is all made by 3M. What does matter is the installer.

I've got the 3M vinyl on my 02 Cab. Installer came to the house with his truck and pieces all cut. Watched him install. Very interesting. Kerry is correct...it's all in the installer. The guy who installed mine showed me a couple of new cars he had done at a dealers. He even wanted to clean that portion of the car he was covering so he'd be sure it was clean and free of wax. I have a few images of the installation if anyone is interested. Had bumper; bottom of hood; mirrors; rocker panels; and parts of the body where tires could kick up anything.

I had Xpel installed on mine....Love it!

I agree with everyone it's all in the Installer! I also have pictures of my install on the link below.
