3rd brake light details
Having read a few threads regarding replacement LED units, I've concluded that these appear to be a great upgrade.
I'm planning on adapting this type of item into the rear spoiler of my 968 Cab project and then shave the trunk mounted 3rd brake light. Before I spend the $ on a unit, curious as to the dimensions of the 3rd brake light on your car so I evaluate if this will work for my application. Also, is there a sealing gasket of sorts between the light housing and the recess?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Should be an easy project for a Bubblehead!
Below are some pics of one that I have sitting on my workbench.
From furthest tip to tip, it is 31.0 cm, but that counts the tip of the clip. The oval shaped opening is 30.3 cm, which includes the rubber gasket integrated into the housing.
The width of the face of the light is 2.5 cm, which also includes the gasket.
The gasket width is 2 mm.
On the backside, from the tip of the connector to the other end is 25.6 cm.
Take out the connector, and the length of the "block" housing is 23.8 cm.
The width of the block housing is 1.8 cm.

Exactly the information I was looking for - thanks!
For reference, the pics above show a 968 Cab with and without the Techart spoiler.
