FABSPEED SPORT EXHAUST INSTALL TURBO
Well I figured if I can install a supercharger on my BMW I can put an exhaust on my Porsche. I was correct and very glad that I did but there are some things that everyone going to do so should keep in mind.
The "by the book" way to install / remove turbo mufflers from the 996 is to take off the back clip/bumper, rear hood and spoiler but that is a lot of work plus you are increasing the chances of scratching something on your car.
It is actually harder to take the one piece muffler off than it is to install the FABSPEED replacement. It is big and heavy and takes some maneuvering around to get it out without removing the bumper or dropping the engine but it can be done !! In addition, be aware that you may either damage or find that the oxygen sensors need to be replaced and even with the correct type of wrench they are tough to remove. They are also not cheap so - may add to the cost.
THe install is actually easier as it is in 6 pieces and the cats are smaller but you will still need some special wrenches to tighten the bolts. You should mount all the parts loosely and tighten them up from the back to the front of the car on the turbos and don't forget the heat shields. I did and had to remove the cats to put them on twice. THe fit and finish of the system was excellent 0 - high grade stainless and fittings with all the parts needed. Overall very pleased with the change in the sound and the increased performance in combination with the retune of the computer figure it is putting out close to 500HP !

Does the turbocharger come with the kit, or would we have to source our own?
Also, I have not supercharged a BMW, but I have spent time in a Turkish prison. Is this an acceptable substitute?

THey said even though it is a 996 because it is a turbo, if you put the thread on the standard 996 forum they won't get it as it is complicated and because theirs are not turbo's they won't care what you did to it !!
