Is there any value to it? I'm purchasing a 996 that currently has this wing, but I prefer a wingless look.

Does it bolt to the OEM decklid? Any reason why it couldn't be converted back to wingless?

Looks great on the red car above though.

On second look, the spoiler on the silver car might be an aftermarket, the high curl on the rear of it looks different.
Check out upper console and see if there is remnents of an unused electric spoiler switch, or try to see if you can see mfg info on the bottom of the wing.
Factory porsche Carrera Wing was $3500 option. Used I have seen $1800-$2500.
Aftermarket $360 -$500 new.

It was not a factory add to the build sheet on the car and yes it still has the electric spoiler switch. But there is no spoiler malfunction light which tells me it was installed properly. The owner has had the car since 2005 and is the second owner purchased with 7500 miles so he has owned it the majority of it's life. I am assuming that the first owner spec'd it at the dealer when taking delivery.

To install it properly there are two options:

1. Use the PIWIS computer (or PST2 at the time) to disable the spoiler
2. Physically modify the wiring harness by jumping/splicing pins
