Default Car Covers

When I took delivery of my 04 911 coupe in October, the dealer gave me a car cover as a gift. The cover is the Silverguard Car Cover, PNA-506-996. It fits really well but everytime I use it, it leaves thin strips of adhesive on the car wherever the interior lining is sewn to the cover (front and rear fenders mostly).

If anyone has this same cover and has had similar experience or has the same cover and not had this problem, I would appreciate your feedback. According to the dealer, this is something inherent to new covers and will eventually go away as it dries out.

Thanks for you comments.

I have a Covercraft cover that never left any residue.
I do believe your dealer that it will go away,
when all the glue is gone.
