Default Rear Main Seal (RMS) problem???

I have a 2001 996 Tiptronic with 20,000 miles. I've noticed a few oil drops under the engine the last few days. Is this always a RMS problem? Do tiptronics have the same RMS problem. Do I need to get this to the dealer ASAP. Should I even drive any further until I can get it in.

I finally got my TT front bumper on with new sideskirts and Aero wing. My orient red metallic turns head wherever I go. Now into the shop. What a pain. Thanks.

Ken

p.s. I became a Rennlist member, am I suppose to put that under my signature or does it happen automatically.

Ken,
It could be variety of pronlems. Since the car is under warranty, I would bring it as soon as you can.
Tips do get RMS as well.

Ken:

Good to see another Denver area person!

I hope your car is OK.

The Signature part is done by you in your USER CP section. Put in whatever you want.

Gery & Tim, Thanks for the replies. Tim which of the two Porsche dealers in town do you like the best. I've had zero experience with either except their prices on parts and accessories is always a lot higher then I get off the web or Suncoast Porsche out of California.

Thanks,
Ken
