60,000 mile service, clutch and what else should be done?
My 1999 996 cabriolet is going to have its 60,000 mile service. It also will need a new starter, at my cost, that has been making bad noises since before the warranty was up. But that is another story.
So, while I am having that done I thought I'd ask the list what else should be done while I'm going to the expense of pulling the engine etc...

I picked up my 99 with about 60K on it. Was making strange noise that I was convinced was my starter too. Turns out it was just the muffler starting to go! Didn't figure that out until the muffler got a little worse and made the noise even after it had just been started. The right one was the culprit, but the left one was right behind it.
