Default Local dealer cornering the 996 market?

I've known these guys a long time and they've done much of the service on my 996 over the years - including an early IMS upgrade in 2008. Lately they have gotten serious about selling 996s. Currently they list 10 either available or recently sold.

Talking to them, it really seems like the 996 market has swung, and the word is out.

European Performance

All I know is, my shop is really good at working on 996s.

The average price of the 996 has gone up. Although there are still deals out there but they are getting more difficult to find.

Too early to offer my C2 for a comparable 993?

I'm willing to take the first $100,000 that comes along for my midnight blue '03 C4S.
(...too early, perhaps?)

Seems like a good price for that 1982 911SC, although I confess to not know that market. Are they normally under $35k in that condition?

I like their inventory, a little bit of most things.

Interesting to hear, ... I'm guessing that they (as a lot of us have) determined that the 996 has hit rock bottom on pricing. It's a great time to get in on a nice example, as I doubt they'll drop any further. I am a collector car dealer, so I try to follow trends as much as possible. I've seen the SCs peak and then come a little back down from a year ago, all but the finest examples. Still some bargains out there for the patient ones with cash in hand.
