Default ICE Installation / Removal

Bought my 996 almost 4 months ago and finally getting round to installing some decent sounds.

However I dont know if I should give it to a shop to install or do it myself. I have done my old Corrado and Audi TT with no problems.

First thing I tried was removing the Becker head unit. It doesnt want to leave the Porsche. I insert 2 small pieces of metal that slotted into the the facia for removal and nothing. No movement. It makes me think that:

a: Its bolted in from the back
b: The Becker key is some funny design - not just a straight piece of thin metal.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated....

thanks

What radio do you have in your car? I have a CDR-23, the keys slide in the face, and they you just pull...its a bit difficult, but it comes right out...

Yes I have tried sticking in pieces of metal in and sliding it out but maybe I need to get the Becker keys as the pic so nicely demonstrates,

thanks...

Looking at the keys on ebay I have noticed that the strips are longer then what I inserted which explains everything, including my blushing face!
