Default Help with Coast to Coast Enclosed Transport

Could anyone recommend a good and reasonable cost enclosed transport from the east coast to the west coast? The east coast dealer is in FL, so no snow.

Your help is very much appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

Try this. https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ight=transport
If you do a search you may find other information that fits your needs.

I think the big specilalty enclosed car tranporter companies are safe (insured, bonded, and very experienced with high end cars). Expect a fee over $1000 for southern east coast to southern west coast. Shop and compare!

Did you find a suitable yellow 993 Turbo? Some of us have been looking for quite some time. The car on Dupont Registry located in CT might do for me but the asking price is out of line. Send me a private note if you wish.

I found a car, but since my last 996TT was bought from under me by someone possibly reading rennlist boards, I can't tell you what car and which dealer I am getting the car from. I promise that if everything worked out, I'll post pictures.

All I can tell you is that the car in LA sounds like a really nice car, but I am no longer interested in it since I got a car. And yes, I agree that the asking price for the one in CT is out of line.

Good luck.

I used Intercity last time. They were reasonble, insured, bonded and their truck was very clean. All cars covered and a barier between cars on top and bottom to protect from any leakage. Do a search and call some of them. Depending on what they have going on will depend on your price. It will be between 900 and 1,300 for coast to coast.

I also have used Intercity a bunch of times. As long as you are not in a hurry to get the car picked up and delivered, then you'll love them.. They typically need at least a week to 10 days to get your car. And then for a coast to coast it may he another week to 10 days depending upon their pickup and drop offs along the way.

They also reserve the right to change the pick up and drop off days at will. Kind of annoying, especially if you took off work to wait for your car, and they they can't make it that day.... Just ask Old Guy. I made him go after the driver and he got his car out of the carrier on the side of the highway. I wound up flying to Vegas on a Friday (after my car was in the truck for 7 days) instead of waiting an extra week for them to get to me here in the Bay Area...

Coast to Coast is like $1600 now.....

Stuka,

ROAD TRIP!!!!

Don't ship it... drive it home. An experience you won't soon forget. Do it.

I drive wayyy to fast for most Southern states where people actually think 80 is fast.

So no roadtrip for me, I kind of need my license.
