Default X post sort of...material of turbo tail grill?

What sort of plastic (?) is the grill on the turbo tail? Mine broke. Apparently was glued with a previous owner.

Where is the piece broken off of? I am not seeing it in the photo.

the right way to do it would be to sand down the spoiler and bond that in, sand it down and respray the spoiler. You could glue it if you wanted to, but you will always see the seems of the broken piece and you risk the glue coming loose and the part being lost.

I am a big fan of fixing things the right way once. I'm sure you have a decent Porsche body shop near where you live, if you don't know of one, ask your local dealer who they use for their clients repairs. They are usually reputable places.

I say fix it, if you feel confident in your ability to do so. In the event it fails at a later date, then look to replace. Isn't it on the edge that sits recessed a little, into outer portion of deck lid?

it's plastic, mine did crack trying to take it off but I fixed it. Very small crack.

Why the chicken mesh? Install the genuine angled deflector?

Yes. Hence me wanting to give the fix a try.

The grill is factory on a fiberglass repro tail. The previous owner of said tail didn't put in the under grill. Now it is $500. The grate works fine
