Second Gear to High?
During my street driving where so far I have spent 100% of my time in my 993TT, one of the things I enjoy is coming around a 90 degree corner and really getting on it. I have noticed, however that second gear is often too high where it seemed correct approaching the corner but too low once I stomp on it at probably 30 mph. Seems like I could use a 1.5 gear.
Today, I slipped it into first gear around one of the corners where there are two wide lanes in either direction. I slowed down a little more than I would have liked to probably 25 mph since it feels so radical to use first gear in this fashion - this time I had lots of power and torque and was able to break traction nicely to the side and rocket away in a very aggressive fashion.
Has anybody re-geared their transmissions?
I wonder if a fully regeared transmission could optimize 0-140 mph and sacrifice top end.

You can do it, not a problem if you got the money to spend on it.
The gears don't seem to be as bad on the TT's as they do on the NA cars. It maybe the power difference though.
PM me if you want the name of a top Porsche transmission shop.

Just take those corners at 40 mph and your gearing will be fine!
(The only time I have ever used 1st on the road is on Decker Canyon on an uphill, slick hairpin, where it is possible to light up all 4 and put down a smoke screen.
Juvenile, but fun.)
