Default Brake Pressure Warning Light

When I start my car, this light takes about 15 - 20 secs to go out, is this normal ?
I drove my car yesterday, so I would have expected it to keep the pressure in the system...but, no this morning same thing 15 - 20 secs then it goes out.
Info would be great appreciated, I will check the fluid levels later...but a quick glance looks like they are ok.

James,

This is normal. My car does it exactly as you describe. Most of the other Turbos around do the exact same thing. It is the extra pressure reservoir that we have in the turbos that takes a little time to build pressure. That is why when you see that little light on, your brake are not good, and your clutch is very stiff.

So, someone wasn't paying very close attention during the Turbo S orientation, eh?

I hope you haven't pulled a CD out the wrong way!

I believe the clutch receives it's boost from the power steering pump.

Bobby, yeah I had stars in my eyes during the Turbo S orientation...I remember you mentioning it takes a while for the light to go off - but for some reason thought it took like 2 secs to go out.
So being the typical new owner, I was worried that a few more seconds wasn't usual -
Thxs for the manuals by the way...

Default brake light

Mine does the exact same thing but only on cold start up in the morning. It stays on for 30 sec to a min and shuts off. I was told it was normal as well by the dealer.
