Very different kinds of thrills, both arrive to the same conclusion of "fantastic" by different routes. The 4.0 is one of the best driving and handling cars I've ever experienced. Beautiful road holding, crisp responsive engine with a lovely sound ... car just begs to be thrown hard into every corner and you come out the other side smiling and appreciating the experience .

The CTR2 is a different beast altogether...that distintive air cooled sound at idle transforms into an air rushing, whistles and turbo spool medley going on and off the throttle. The car surges forward in a manner the 4.0 can't match...endless thrust and just a visceral sense filling experience much like the F40. The CTR2 also shares another thing in common with the F40 and CGT ...all three leave you coming down from a drive long after it's over.

Can porsche Paint to sample that color on new orders?

Not sure, although Porsche has its own version of Liquid Metal they use on the Porsche 918 Spyder...which itself is a stunning color as well

car looks great.... again congrats. A little early I am sure but any other RUF models on the acquisition list in the future? I am sure this one took some time to acquire as you had mentioned I believe. RUF had quite the toybox at Geneva....

RufMD, beautiful car. I have seen you on other forums 4 to 5 years ago and know you have an amazing collection of cars. Remember u had that lotus and a 4 door austin in storage and brought back home.

Wow, just saw this thread. A belated congratulations - I was lucky enough to know a former CTR2 owner and I've always loved it. To me it is one of the "holy grail" air cooled cars, if anything one of the last.
