Default Big Red's and rim diameter question.

Planning to use Big Red's on the front of the new racer and one of the tire combo's I'm entertaining involves 16" wheels.

I have already made the call to LR., and was told 17" would work but not 16".

The brakes are not mounted yet which is the reason for the inquiry.

I'm hoping someone has found a wheel that fits in 16"??

Anyone?

Hmm, many years ago, when these came out with 18's, some used 17's for the track but don't recall anyone being able to use 16's..

For what it's worth, the spare is 16" wheel. I bet any of the custom wheel makers could do a 16" for you. Most all should have the critical dimensions in their data base but if not, it's a pretty quick process to get them the info.

Boober, thank you. This is exactly what I was hoping for, a chance. The prospect of a bias ply option is now closer to reality. Joy.
