Talk about appalling.... now we have officially entered the twilight zone on basically any air cooled turbo.
Nothing really special about this one, 15,xxx miles, ordinary color combo. Watch the flood gates open on the market place for any tt under 30k miles to catch this bubble wave!

And by the way that Bonhams car looks like it should be listed as a barn find that will need complete reconditioning to get it up to a reasonable cosmetic and mechanical level...
Looks like KNUJ stays the garage from now on...

Yes but probably pocket change for age related items since it's such low mileage JD: inside and out detail $500, new fender guards $100, valve cover gaskets $800 installed - plugs, etc. at same time, oil and filters $300, brake flush $120, maybe slave if leaking $1,000 installed. Can't believe this wasn't done pre-sale.

For the record, price is down from $220k fetched at Scottsdale Auction earlier this year of a '96 993TT, Polar Silver/blk with even less miles (8400 miles). I have no particular insight into where prices will be in the future, so will avoid airing my views as it will surely be wrong!

for whatever reason, many high end collectors favor silver/black and black/black over more exotic color combos. appears to me that originality in combo with factory created simplicity currently are valued more, e.g. rear seat delete, sunroof delete, rear wiper delete. surprisingly to a non-collector like me, things like X50 engine, carbon fiber interior, and exotic but pleasing color combos are not the object of blockbuster auction sales.
plus, imo there is a big difference in rarity of a sub 10k miles car versus anything higher. Those are rare birds at this point in time (albeit with their own mechanical issues from lack of driving!)

Even if you had to put $10K into deferred maintenance I think you'd get away cheap. These cars are never a simple service away from perfection. $100 fender guards? Maybe parts only. I've done them myself on a few cars and I'd happily pay the two hours of labor that this costs locally. Regardless of my gripes regarding costs, all of this stuff should have been done prior to sale. I'm always amazed how quickly people spend money on cars at auction without a PPI, test drive, proof of records etc.. In the real world of RL we'd chastise the "buyer" for their ignorance but in the auction world they hit you with a $10K mutherfukcin buyers premium!

A long nose 72 or 73 rs went for over $800,000
Not exactly concours either but low miles (8k)
Idk all these old 911s look right at home with some of these rare classics and they command more eyes and more people all over them. That rs went for same money as some old Cobras and such.
