We gotta see it. Sport seats are good, some guys dont like em
others drool. carbon is cool. why would you delete the rear seats?
and whats the price? 6K miles is not much too much 97 or 96?
some people prefer it have some average miles on it so
other things dont go wrong with it just sitting. Carbon buildup
may be a problem on a low milage car like that. Pics please

I'm not crazy about red interiors personally, but the car sounds unique. Very few sunroof delete cars around. Question is, do you want one? They are lighter for the track, but most buyers want a sunroof. I had the rear seat delet option in my 3.6 Turbo. It was nice.
6000 miles would actually scare me a little that the car was not driven enough.

sunroof delete turbos are like hen's teeth. rear seat delete. never heard of it in the 993, but the person that ordered this car was thinking. wiper delete too; I'm impressed.

I had someone offer me a low mile 97 993tt in trade for my 01 996 GT3 Cup. The car was speed yellow, sports seat and sunroof delete. I called around to a couple of wholesalers, that specialized in 993tt, to get an idea of what the car should be worth. I was reminded, although we at the Rennlist might see value in a non-sunroof twin turbo, many other buyers would not see it as a value. The majority of the turbo buyers don't take the cars to the track. So, they are not looking for the lightest and fastest. Because of the entry cost, the market for a twin turbo is smaller than the market for other Porsches models. When you start taking luxury options out, the market gets alot smaller.
I declined a trade and later found a 97 twin turbo that I am satisfied with. I don't claim to know the market, but I do know that you have to be careful about the limitations you put on the resale of your car when you special order it to your personal liking.
Just my personal observation.

I don't know, I can look for his email address in my deleted files.
I do know he thought alot of the car. I think it had 16K miles and he wanted $82-$84 for it. I thought that was high.

Hilarious. Don't believe it when a car salesman discourages you from shopping for a rare car instead of buying a common car that he can source from any auction in any colour.
If either of the sunroof-delete cars is still available -- let me know!
Keep in mind car dealers are imbeciles and their motives are almost 180 degrees out of phase with an owner's motives. They want a car (and they know very little about something like a 993 TT even if they sell one a week) that will sell quickly and preferably at a premium. Nothing else.
