The USA TTs were sold as 1996 and 1997 models. In 1998, the only TT was the TT "S" model (also available in 1997). Your friend should expect to pay between $70k and $80K, depending upon who is selling it (dealer or private party), the condition, the color, and the service records. Good luck.

Tell your friend to check out www.londonmotorcars.com in Vancouver. They have a black 1996 993 TT with only 24000 kms. They were asking CAN$125,000 last month.

the market with similar milage for the 70-80K range.
