This is really sad... Glad you're ok Steve. I've been on RL for a while and Steve posts always showed his passion for Rufus and the nicely done mods. Wish you a speedy recovery, physically and mentally.

Edit: Never mind, figured out what Pong was saying by reading the 993 forum string. Pong's daughter told him about the 993 forum posts. It doesn't appear that Pong's daughter was involved in the accident. And Pong's condolences are with the car (!), not a human.

Default Happy you walked away

Grab a fine bottle of wine, maybe some vintage brandy if that is your thing Steve and go pour yourself a drink and be thankful for walking away from the accident.... Pour a second and start thinking of what car will be next for you! Sounds like you have 149K to spend!

Most important thing is all lives involved are OK... sorry to hear about the accident but again happy all walked away.

Rufus was a special car. On to of being a REAL Ruf, it was part of this board for a long time. We can mourn it because our friend is ok.

"a much more tragic experience" if a person is hurt in comparison to a f*cking car ?!!!

A car which is destroyed whilst absorbing a life threatening impact, doing its job to save the occupants lives is not a "tragedy" it is a "shame", a "pity"......FFS I know it is a 993tt worship forum and I have been worshipping for nearly 15 years on here but some need to get a sense of perspective

Agreed, the car gave it's life so the occupants could live. The car did everything is was supposed to do. And gauging on the damage, I'd sat the car held up pretty well.

Heal up, Steve.

Only know you from your posts here, but you seem like a cool guy. You'll build another car.

TB993tt

Hear, hear................generally speaking, yanks use the English language carelessly at times.

And as Blackbull indicates, xenophobia is rife!

I think you are right, checkout the "Brit's" comments on the incident in the link below, quite a difference in language
