Default Anyone tried replacing pentosin with ATF?

Pentosin is like a commodity here in Malaysia. Its not easy to find. Tho Redline is readily available. Was browsing through their web and this showed up. What do you guys think? I've seen the Technical Bulletin 9606. They do not recommend ATF for 993 Turbo, but apparently okay for coupe. Anybody tried going against the Bulletin?

Ignore Redline recommendation for 10W40, I am now running Mobil V-Twin 20W50. The supplier is no longer distributing this oil due to low demand, and ExxonMobil in Malaysia is not selling it here too.

Next alternative for my OCI would be the Redline 20W50 V-Twin which is again readily available

The pentosin is not a wear item as frequent as oil. Stay with the factory recommendation for this application. The ATF may have properties that the seals in your steering system might not do so well in. Not sure, just think it's the safer route. Less chance of risking damage.
