Default AC question

My AC hasn't worked for a bit (3-4 years) and I stopped trying to charge it when I determined clutch was bad. I have pulled compressor, plugged the drained lines, protected from chaffing and secured them. I am not sure if I will get a compressor or pull lines/system out. I have lived without it for a while now and used to it. In the mean time do you think it's alright to run car like this for a while? I will not use system and periodically check for leaking/problems. Let me know, thanks.

Apart from needing a new dryer when you put things back together, probably okay. Looks like you've been busy.

Yes, as long as you have closed the lines, it's fine. You should replace the dryer any time you crack the system (as noted, and it's dirt cheap anyway). You may be able to get a clutch separately as well.

Found new pump w/clutch for 275. Kuehl drier is on the way also. Opt. to keep AC, just in case the woman needs it.
