Question Which speedo is correct?

Yesterday I had to drive roundtrip from LA to Blythe for a business meeting. About 500 miles roundtrip, about half of which is on open highway through the California desert with little traffic. I noticed that the higher the speed, the greater the difference between the analog speedometer, and the digital speedometer. At 100 mph digital, the analog was at about 108. Anyone know why so much difference?

Default Speedo?

My experience with 993TT cars at high speed indicates both (factory) analog and digital speedometer instruments are nonlinear. The Ruf car at a real 200 mph will indicate a higher digital speed and the analog speedo will indicate a speed closer to 220 mph! My observatons are validated by time/distance measurements, timing traps as well as GPS indications.
