Turbo "S" front lip

Turbo "S" front lip
Hey guys, need your help....again.
Several years ago I had planned to purchase a 993tt. The deal fell through but not until I had already purchased a 993 Turbo "S" front lip from MA Shaw. I bought a 993tt a few days ago and thought I was going to install this lip. The lip is fiberglass. When I went to fit it on, I noticed that the sides had a gap. I was told I could drill a hole in the car and pull the bottom on the car to fit the side of the lip, but ofcourse I don't want to do this.
I really wanted to have the "S" lip. I think it makes the front of the car.
Any suggestions. I would be willing to buy another one that was factory material vs. fibergalss. it might fit better??

Several of us have added the "S" lip to the standard Turbo front bumper. I like the look a lot. I went with the OEM lip, sourced from Gert. That's my recommendation. Also, make sure your installer uses the appropriate high-strength glue to affix the lip.

Jim,
When I fiitted my original Turbo 'S' lip it had the same gaps on the sides. As John H has advised, this has to be glued in with an appropropriate high strength adhesive. I ended up using Loctites 330 an acrylic toughened adhesive, which is strong but also flexible (to allow flex without failing). Super glue won't work (strong but too brittle). Good luck!
cheers,
Kris

Jim, OEM is Poly. The Fglass piece will get beat up in street use unless You are very careful on driveways etc... When it does get beat up You will have to repair it and when it cant be repaired due to some fatal blow You will have to replace the whole BC since it is glued on...ask me how I know...

Jim, OEM poly S lip was installed by Brumos. Fiberglass lip would be a major problem area, low curbs ,etc. Adhesive was used for the install as the gap between the lip and the bodywork is there. If installed correctly there should be no problem. Mine has been on the car for over 3 years. By the way what color is the 993tt?
