295's need 315's in Back, that's 996gt2 stock sizes, 295's are gonna be .5'' shorter being as they wear faster, not good on AWD's, I have 245 & 295's on my 964T, 24.8'' & 25'', but the rears are spun often so evened up by now.

somewhere else I got the part number for the rears as:

996.362.142.03

Is this correct or is the number 996.362.102.11 ?

If you look on the back side of the spokes, if you see two grooves in each they are solid.

BTW. A set of hollow spokes are up for sale on Pelican.

The seller sent me photos of the parts numbers on the wheels, so I was able to get comfortable that they are indeed hollow spokes.

Now waiting for them to be delivered. Then need to decide on rubber! I want to go 225/295. Thoughts?

again I have 235/295 Yok Advan 08 and am very happy. They are nicely matched for AWD in those sizes(roll out is almost identical). My front fenders are rolled and my car sits fairly low. FWIW

Is this something I can feel with my hand with the wheels mounted?

Yes.

I would check each wheel. Sometimes solids and hollows wind up on the same car.
