Default Rock Chip Repair Video

I just posted this on the 964TT page and thought the video was worthy of a repost here too. I like this technique.

Would I be a jerk to repost in the NA 993 forum too?

What do you think about this technique?

My 993 TT is midnight blue and has a scratch that you can feel with your finger nail and a few small chips. I keep watching this video to see if I can get the courage to try it, of course on my girlfriend's car first. I'm just afraid of making something small, worse.

No harm in posting in the NA forum, you'll probably get more responses since there are more owners/activity.

Keep in mind this guy is like a pro-detailer too before starting on your own car, he is like the manufacturer of Ammo products - got some great videos. Great technique, if you have lots of chips then this could be a very time consuming process, patience will be key! I'm sure you won't make it worse than than what it already is...

I haven't used this myself, but heard good things about Dr. ColorChip.

Here is the Dr. Color Chip video from their website. Definitely looks easier, but I wonder what it looks like on a dark and very reflective color? That one bump right in the middle concerns me. And it is wild to see him just smear the paint around like that. It would be awesome if it is this easy. The problem with the other way is like you say he is a pro-detailer and the more difficult something is, the more ways I have to mess it up!

Larry Kosilla @ AMMO NYC is great. His result will look professional. Dr. Color Chip? Truth in advertising? Not so much.
