Default My new BBS wheels and slippery slope updates!

Hey all,

Figured it was time to do an update and of course include what everyone loves - plenty of pics!

Been looking for awhile now to give the car another appearance, just to change up the look from the existing RUF style wheels. The LM's were my #1 choice, inspired by Nurburger's reverse mount thread and Foude's silver 993 C2S. TripleG local to me has been running a set this past summer, only re-assured me these are my next set of wheels.

Thanks to a fellow Rennlister I found a set a few weeks back:

As we all know they are a 2-Piece Die Forged Aluminum Wheel and just so light, approx 22lbs front / 24lbs rear.

8 x 18 et 50 / 11 x 18 et 56 (before the reverse mount)

After the reverse mount and polished lips, it all comes together nicely IMO. Used my existing 7mm spacer in the rear. Running Bridgestone SO2s factory sizes 225/285.

And some other updates this year:

- Back in the winter, a full front end respray including headlight washers delete. As well a full clear bra on the front end, so far it's been great for that added protection. I'd recommend after a quality paint job!
- Gert FPB.
- Rear wiper delete.
- Walrod Bushings along with a fresh alignment/corner balance last week. Like everyone has said, it does totally gets rid of that annoying wheel vibration at 90-100 km/hr. Mine were slightly cracked after taking them out with MikeJ.
- Incoming next week will add some red seat belts.

Enjoy the pics!

Nice work Knight !

Much as I love the RUF's, the LM's are a great choice as well. Especially on a black car with the silver finish of the wheels. Looks sharp.

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!

I guess I never noticed how much cleaner the front looks with the headlight washers out of the picture.

The color matches nicely with the headlamps/clear indicators and the spoke design matches well with the deck louvres. Well done.

those wheels look very nice and I'm not usually a fan of aftermarket wheels.

Very very nice! What's the effective offset/widths with spacers front and rear?

Sharp, did I say sharp! Can't go wrong with LMs. My favorite wheels of all times. They even look like 19s. Excellent. Enjoy.

I haven't actually measured myself, I just knew they would work based on another local Rennlister's car + Nurburger's thread.

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...e-centers.html

You are looking at a 12-15mm reduction in offset. Rears would have to be in the 40's range for sure.

Basal Skull did this with his set of LMs, maybe he might have measured the offsets?

offset 41 mm after reverse mounting in the rears,

so Knight used 7mm spacers in rear in addition to reverse mounting = 41-7 = 34mm effective offset in rear
Which is a tight fit for 11 rims in the rear, before reverse mounting my rears I had 23mm spacers so 56-23=33 mm

btw the 41 offset works with 315's
