997TT front calipers on a 993TT car.
Greetings.
Is it possible to fit a 997 cup or turbo front (6 pods) caliper on a 993TT car without replacing the stock turbo rotor? Is there an aftermarket adapter available?

Not certain if the stock rotor could be used or why you would want too, the benefit of the 6 pot caliper is additional area the larger rotor provides .
A guy some months back in Sweden I think did just that very thing,GT3 calipers with 14" rotors ,it will require a 19" rim for fitment purposes...Bert

Agree, its the increased radius from center hub that creates a better lever to slow car down faster. As an aside properly sized 6 pots vs 4 pots minimal diff in braking all else being the same.

How much would you be investing in this project... Just checking in case if it gets too expensive you could just purchase a system from Brembo and do a GT series system? 15" rotors and 6 piston calipers for $3,800.
Interested to see what they would charge you for 997 calipers and possibly rotors.

Got it figured it out. 993tt rotors are a 1/4" smaller than the 997tt, I don't think the efficiency will matter on the radius of the rotor. Need to machine some hats for the rotors to match the offset of the caliper and 993tt hubs. Attachment of the caliper on a 993 RSR/GT2 upright remain a problem.

Ive done it with GT3 Calipers.
IIRC the rotors are bigger than just 1/4"?
Mine are now 355MM and i was able to (just) fit them behind stock 18's (with a small spacer)
In hindsight, given the strength of the AU dollar and the kits now available - i would just buy the 3800MM Brembo GT kit. With all the Effing around of new hats and parking brake changes, there are easier ways.
You must remember - if you ONLY upgrade the fronts your brake Bias will suffer.

I have a set of front and rear Brembo GT Brakes for sale
But stock 993tt wheelset does not fit over this set-up

As I mentioned - at the time I did it - there wasn't a kit around. I would have bought the GT kit otherwise….
I still stand by (as does my race engineer) that bias WILL be affected if you upgrade just one end, saying that - $4k for a complete set seems cheap! GLWS!
