Yea, it had yellow calipers but they did not say it was an "S", but then again it was Mercurm. They had a ton of 356's, and a Jimmy Dean special that sold for$ $3.6M.

I posted in the other thread, but it was a black Turbo S. Snapped a photo of it.

Great price for a TTS if it has a reasonable amount of miles on it.

Thanks! That makes 2! Only 180 left before they will all be mine. Now where can I get some power ball tickets? The car checks out really well, had it in for a ppi (post purchase inspection), biggest problem are the tires with dry rot from January 2001. Maybe it wasn't a great idea to autobahn it down the 101 back to LA. But she ran like a top

That's a score.
I assumed it was a junker from the low bidding. I expected it was either going to be passed in at Mecum or it had stories. It sounds like you bagged it at a fair price. I'd be curious to see how it pans out once you have it and go through it. You can thank me for not bidding and adding another $10K to your final bid! : )

Thanks! The car checks out really well, had it in for a ppi (post purchase inspection), biggest problem are the tires with dry rot from January 2001. No other leaks, smoking, weird noise etc. Even the bottom engine tray was there. And I need to take out the massive stereo system and replace it with the stock one.

That sounds awesome. Congratulations to you; and to the car for finding a good home. I'm <expletive deleted> sick to death of seeing these show up in dealer/broker inventories for nonsense prices. I hope you can restore it to original condition and glory. Or better yet, no, wait! What am I saying?! No ... this is an albatross around your neck, it's a millstone around your neck with an albatross on the millstone pecking at your eyes! You've been duped and swindled! Hoodwinked and sold up the river on a slow boat to nowhere! Sell that car and escape a fate of certain bankruptcy before it eats you out of house and home like a bad penny thrown into a money pit!
Look, you seem like a nice guy, I'll help you out, just write the documents from the auction sale over to me and I'll pay your a modest $20K less than you paid and you're scott free!
That buyer's remorse you feel eating into you is going to shorten your life. Hell, I'm practically saving your life!
Don't thank me, I'm feeling generous and I want to do the right thing ...
