Default Trade your metric (km/h) tach / trip computer (OBC) for US (mph)?

Trying my luck here. I have a US car up here in Canada, just wondering if anyone south of the border with a Canadian example would be interested in swapping the OBC.

This way we can both understand what the car is trying to tell us! Can't believe Porsche didn't include a way to change the units...

In your head, simply divide the posted kph by 2 and add back 10% to get mph. If your speedo does not read 50% over this, you should be driving a mini-van. Just sayin'......

Speed is easy, but I can't convert mpg to L/100km, or Fahrenheit to Celsius.

If you have a turbo you really shouldn't care about mileage and most of we boomers use F and C interchangeably. All of the good car mags are miles and mpg ( Excellence, Panorama, R&T, etc.) so I find it way more convenient to be consistent with the UK and USA than say France. Good luck.........

Clay - last month's Panorama there was an add for said conversions by a speedo shop I am in Germany right now so can't pull it out...but I am almost sure it was in there. Not a swap that you are looking for but I am sure they would credit you your existing one against a new - then you'd have to find a guy locally to install for you.

Just a thought.

You might contact a good speedo shop (North Hollywood Speedo and Palo Alto Speedo come to mind) to see if they have what you need for a conversion. I have used both of these shops, and they are both great.
