Default I lost the car

Guys, I am still unfortunately in the market. The Metalic black over red car that I had a deposit on, I lost today. The owner turned out to be a real pile of crap, who took my deposit, but screwed me out of the car in the end, even though we had an agreement. A man's word means nothing anymore. I'm not going to go into details, but PM me if you want to know. I'm so upset and gutted. He just bought a Carrera GT, so some of you may have run ins with him in the future. I am still looking for a nice TT in the $60-70k, range from an HONEST seller...Cheers Steve, and happy fathers day to all the dads here.

Remember, buy the seller.

I hope you get your deposit back. If the guy was an assclown, maybe he saved you from unseen problems with the car too. Or even more problems with closing the sale in the end.

Happy Father's Day!

Really sorry to hear about your experience. I was wondering about how things were going since you had been under the radar for a few days. I couldn't tell if he kept your deposit or sold the car from under you and returned the deposit. This behavior really is scary for somebody in the market. If only the cars were not so sought after.

Another window will open, they usually do.

Take Care,
Johnny

Sorry to hear about your experience with the car and owner.

There are lots of good cars and honest owners around...you'll find the right combination.

You would not want to purchase a car from someone who conducts their affairs in such a shady manner anyway . . . better cars and better people are on the horizon for you. Good Luck!

Xpensivewino- this '96 993tt just came up on CL, 63k miles, $64k, arena red/blk. No affiliation, just providing a lead. Good luck with your search.

I saw this one too and was going to post it as a lead.

Good luck with your search! Arena red isn't my color or I would have driven down to look at it today.
