First of all, Rufus (134,000 miles) passed smog again without a problem. But I'm wondering if the O2 sensors, the TPS (throttle position sensor), or the idle stabilization valve should be replaced just because they are probably original.
Sometimes I just get itchy to do something. But I HATE wasting money.
02: they would give you a check engine if they were lazy or inop. leave alone if the car runs ok.
TPS: car runs fine and power seems good? leave it alone
ICV: Just clean it if you have idle issues.
really, if the car runs well, don't mess with this stuff.
Just collect more backup "RUF" bits if you want to "waste" money. Trade them for OEM parts when you need it as they will probably appreciate more than OEM parts over time.
Quad, you are right of course. Rufus runs fine. I'll leave him alone.

Haha. The sad part is there are no other Ruf bits that aren't already on Rufus. I finally got the Ruf instruments. That completes the collection!

+1. Replacing sensors that are unlikely to fail is a waste of $$$$.
