gt3 oil pump
I'm building a 993tt race engine .I have read about the 996 or 997 gt3 oil pump being a good upgrade over the stock pump in a 993tt .Is this a simple bolt on upgrade ?(my crankcase is apart)can anyone give the part number and price ? do I need any additional parts ?
Thanks for the help

Just to up this topic. Would a GT3 oil pump help me ?
My 993TT engine is again burning oil when driven hard, time attack style.
c.a. 1 liter of oil after 3 relatively short stints (15mins each)
Last time the oil consumption was way higher when turbo seals were gone. It didn't use ANY oil at all after the turbos were refurbished for a year untill now
Oil filter check
10w50 Motul
Oil level check just above min
Turbos refurbished
996TT check lines.
Leakdown and comp are good
Problem with crankcase oil pressure when I really max out.
Thinking about a catch tank but would the GT3 oil pump help instead ?
Engine is stock with the 440HP FVD tune. No muffler, race cats.

When you say you have a problem with crankcase oil pressure when you "really max out", what are you talking about? And why do you think the GT3 oil pump will in any way help your oil burning?

The question about crankcase oil pressure was after discussion with my mechanic who suggested that could be an issue. Not uncommon apparently on older 911s on track. He was suggesting a catch tank solution, I see some 911 track cars have some success with those, but I am against it.
I would rather find the issue than build a catch tank... Or find another solution like a better oil pump... Unfortunatly I have found out that the GT3 pump is not likely to help.
My car burnt 1,5l of oil in about 40mins on track. Local timeattack championship. As an indication I happened to win that round so on a scale of 1 to 10 on how aggressive you can drive that car that was probably a 9+ or something
I had a similar oil burn and some smoke on start 2 years ago. It was actually worse, oil consumption even higher, the turbos were shot then...

Oil pressure reading OEM gauge is fine, all I know !
I have honestly no clue what's wrong with my poor car again and why she is sending so much oil back into the intake.
At this point I am back to basic and agreed with the mechanic to go through the basics once more. Filter, turbos, oil lines, leak down and take it from there.
Should have started a new thread instead of jumping into that one. Did more reading yesterday and realised the GT3 pump is not likely to change my predicament.

I honestly don't see how an A, B or C oil pump type could help with your particular issue. Looks like there could a tad more blowby than it hsould and pushe the oil into intake section and/or burn it in excess.
