I ran cat bypasses on my previous turbo and never noticed a stink.

Scott is rather infamous in Southern California for his flatulence, and his nose would be quite immune to any extraneous odors. )

Scott YES!!!!! That's what I'm sayin! It didn't stink initially it crept up which points to something other than cat deletion. And I'm convinced it has something to do with that slight rough idle.

Still resisting having to go cart her 300 miles for someone with a brain for repair.
The Cayenne pulls Arena real nice but I just hate driving around NYC with her in tow; truly a bitch.

butt the flatulence? oooooo sorry to hear man. Activia?

Sigh. And this from a man whose dentures fly out when he waves his cane at the kids screaming "Get off of my lawn!"

I ran Frank that way for years with no incrementally increasing (car related) odor or engine issues.

Car exhaust always smelled bad, any of you guys remember the old days? That's why government dictated emission control!

I don't have a 993 turbo but I do have a 930 with cat removed, it absolutely smells. My mechanic has a similar car and I was over there one day and we were discussing this issue because both of our wives dislike riding around in our Turbos because, especially when you're sitting in traffic, you can smell the stinky exhaust. His solution was to eliminate the muffler completely and in it's place he custom fitted a 964 Turbo cat, it worked out great! It's fairly quiet and eliminated the noxious fumes.
