O/T - How much do you suppose they want for that 944 cup car? I hate it when dealers don't list their prices.

A couple seem to have come up lately in that price range. Funny that last year not many came up.

He is counting for appreciation for 5 to 10 years ahead of our time. Don't blame the guy. LOL

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Rising tide lifts all boats (except wrecks)

YMMV

As a number of high-end dealers have told me first-hand, if you don't ask for it you won't get it! A nice 73 911S will cost you close to $200k today and two years ago it was about half that so who is to say what is a crazy price. The market is the final arbiter.

Back in March, when that was first posted, price seemed high. Now, not so much. A year from now? Might look real cheap.

Wonder if I should buy a few 993s and stash them in a cave, who knows might be rich in 5-10 years.

Not a bad idea . . . I wish I was thinking that way a few years ago when I let my 914-6 go for $35k. Today, nice examples are pushing $90k!

These threads remind of the threads about the e30 M3 bimmers. Same discussion about how fast the prices skyrocketed in the last months/years from the nowhere. I own one e30 M3 and wouldn't let it go unless someone cash me a bank for it.

It's raining here and I had to drive up into the Sierra's so my car is certainly now worth 25% less ;-)

All these Ferrari's and Porsches going up in value - there's a lot of interesting 'cheaper' cars that would be just as much fun Ginetta, Lotus, Lamborghini, NSX . . . . As well as the down trodden Ferrari's (308's, 400i's, F355).
