Default Opinions on this car

Starting my search for a 993TT. I'm looking for a fun weekend car - not an investment. I have no issues with mods as long as they are done right.

Does anyone know the history on this car? I know sloan is a fairy reputable seller.

http://sloancars.com/3564/1997-993-t...r-31895-miles/

Just looking for anyone who might have more information on it.

TIA.

thats actually not a bad price, especially from Sloan who generally has outrageous prices.

You should re-read posts about Sloan. Many of his cars are consignments. Just sayin"

Have fun with the search. Great cars.

What Hal said...I thought that was an good price (by Sloan standards) for what appears to be a tastefully modded low mileage car.

Was curious as to why Sloan would price this car "realistically"......a dirty carfax would explain it.

At the typical prices he "normally" advertises cars for, this one is an anomaly...

But the pictures are pretty...

If Sloan owns it, I'm sure its a good car, he's high of-course on his cars, (witch we should all appreciate when we want to sell or value ours) but if its a salvage or theft, $50kish, only accident $60k. I've owned some great collectors, but I prefer to drive the Modded Turbo's, this car got some good stuff.

One big red flag for me is this exact car was on his website a while back with the exact same mods. Makes me wonder if someone bought it and then brought it back because it wasn't up to snuff. Or maybe it was pulled off the market because the engine work wasn't done correctly and they've had a hard time getting it all to work right.

Sure is priced cheap for Sloan. Almost too cheap. Personally I'd be very wary about a car that's had this much internal engine work. If not done absolutely correctly, it could be a very expensive to get right.

A PPI with a compression and leak down tests would be mandatory on this one to make sure the engine is in good shape. 500 horses and ka-blooey a few months down the road would be a sad thing for a new owner.

I talked to the original owners a few years back it had a track event and was repaired. They spent a boat load of money getting it to we're it is and then got into cup cars and never tracked it. My only problem was the track event may have a salvage title ?? For a driver it looks like a fun car but resale would be in the tubes. I found something else and never looked at it. Hope this helpfully bob

+ 1 iF YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE CAR, ASK RICHARD, AND HE WILL TELL YOU. i HAVE BOUGHT TWO CARS FROM HIM AND ALWAYS FOUND HIM TO BE STREIGHT FOWARD. HIS REPUTATION MEANS TOO MUCH TO HIM TO MISS REPRESENT A CAR. IMHO

The interior looks pretty worn for 40.XXX miles. Look at the drivers seat and the kneebar on the passenger side for example. Pretty rough.
