As an update, I puchased the wiring kit I asked about above. It is indeed plug and play. I bought a pioneer deh-x9500bhs headunit to install using the kit. For the archives: Couple the red, yellow, and black wires from the pioneer connector to the respectively colored wires from the large connector in the kit. Also connect the blue/white wire from the pioneer connector to the blue wire extending from the small yellow connector included in the kit. The rest of the wires can just be taped off. Overall it wasn't too much of a chore to install.
