Great job!
Friends and I just did it in 36hrs.25mins in an Ambulance with 5 other teams all leaving on the 7th for less then $3000.00 including cost of vehicle food and fuel. Safety equipment was not included in cost IE: brakes and tires, one CB Radio and One Valentine Radar Detector. Left Red Ball Garage 11/7/2013 at 10:04 PM arrived Portofino Inn 7:29AM 11/9/2013. We think we would have broke 34hrs for sure had we been able to go faster then 83mph. Ambulance passed 300k miles while on the trip.
Next year we are going to try it in an 88 535i with 50+ gallons of fuel. All the same applies under 3k total cost. A min added for every dollar over.

Was listening old Smoking Tire podcast. Cannonball came up including mention of 996TT solo try which was on the way to new record until 13h at Oklahoma or something. Anyone know anything about this? Starts around 20 min.
