Protomotive modifies them well. But if you want a nice billet and have 10-12g's that is super fiery in your pocket contact CMW

i brought some stock ones from porsche last year, cant remember the price but they were very reasonable. you might be pleasantly suprised if you try them. at least you know they have good guides etc

Just wondering, if there was an update in the guide material from Porsche or just that they are new product?

Your best bet is to buy them OEM at Porsche, the CMW's ones are ****.,BTDT, they (OEM's)are very hard to find them used,Joel Raiser was selling a set, don't know if he want to part the set.,cheers, Sonny1.

Dave, check your email. Sent you a note, I have a couple.
Rick

I support Sonny1 on CMW's. The ones I looked at were poorly machined. He was being kind using the word ****. Even if they were well done it is better on our aircooled turbo engines to use cast heads instead of billet material.

I talked to Colin @ 9meister too, they also have a billet solution also, but they are twin plug - and i don't want a mixed set and don't need 6. I've also been in contact with Joel, he is selling 3.8 stuff. I bought his GT2 Cams.

Essex - I will be in touch.

Good to know about cmw. I just knew I saw them online. Apologies for posting garbage. I saw an OEM set in good shape on eBay a few weeks back. Not sure if they are still there or willing to part them out.

they have gone up since i brought them, they are now 1044 pounds retail in the uk for 1 new head, thats from my local dealer who we deal with a lot-porsche centre sutton coldfield.
not sure about the guide material but i havent had any head related problems since building my own engine. i did have a arp rod bolt snap at 7.5k though and thats scrapped the crank/crankcases, some barrels/pistons etc. but hey thats another story
