1996 Turbo 12.5K miles sold
Not sure if any of you follow Pelican Porsches for sale forum. A real low mileage example was listed on 9/3/12 and sold today. Firm price was $110K. Geez!!!

Me happy!!!
Wait, sez $110 OBO
Do you have personal knowledge of the deal?
On the Market for only 3 days... pretty impressive in any case, but are you sure of the price?

Not that I know anymore about the market than anyone else but that's what they go for at that mileage and in good nick. Add miles on after that and value goes down a lot from that price. It's a beautiful car but to me the spec wasn't anything special. Like buying a new car all over again accept it's got some respected Porsche history really.

Probably did sell for "OBO"...
Won't be surprised if it went overseas
But nonetheless, very impressive "asking price"
Link for those who want to see what a 1996 $110k Porsche looks like

Ray Joseph has a 97 with 11.6K miles asking 108K. He's had it for a few months and reduced the price a couple of times. I'd be very surprised if the car above went for 110K. Prices are strong, but there are several <15K miles cars for sale, most have been available for at least a couple of months.

I think the run-up in 993 Twin Turbo prices reflects, in part, the same phenomenon that is driving up 356 and early 911 prices. The uncertainty in financial markets is such that some investors may be feeling the need to actually see and touch what they have their money in. It is "gold" that you can admire and drive!
