Dave, you are too funny man!! A neck bite finally subdues her pray! Why don't you get that silver beast dialed back a little and come race in J stock with me?!!

Very impressive! Can your friend fix the spelling? Very creative, wow!
Now, though we all know that Ferraris don't don't do that well on the track, either those jockeys are not very good, or you're pushing some serious boost. Which is it?

I may have jumbed the gun posting, as my buddy is going to make some final edits (spelling etc) and re-post. Being a driving instructor for PCA & and a former staff instructor @ NJMP, I have wheeled a more than a few 430's around the track, Scuds too. They are very capable cars, and in the right hands should be quicker than any 993tt around a circuit. The 2 guys in the scuds were from Syracuse NY and were on Hoosier R6's as I was. They were nice guys who were courteous on the track (but I think thought they were pretty hot stuff). They were talking about lap times in the garage etc. - happened to be sharing a garage bay with me. So yea, I made it a point to wait in pit lane to watch them run by at speed down the front straight, and pounce! I added insult to injury when I lapped them in about 20min of driving - which is substantial on a 3.5mi track.
I only run 1,0bar boost. with stock K24's. Suspension is all erp monoball stuff with EVO uprights. Put me in a scud and I think I could best my 993tt times.

Dialed back? I fail to see the point in that. Also, I do not intend to wheel to wheel race the tt. A bit too nice of a car imo. Frankly I have a hoot doing Chumpcar and 24hrs Lemons races in my 86 BMW sedan.

Agree w you on the 430's. Great cars.
I'm thinking of doing the Lemons race at Autobahn in October with a few buddies. I'm having trouble finding suitable cars though.
Any pointers on where to find something??

Unfortunately I have to keep mine in 4 wheel drive for the stock class I race in. Not sure if you can do a donut like Dave's doing in that video with 4 wheel drive. Seems like you should be able to. I've done some half donut's on the track plenty of times!!

did you remove the mechanicals to save weight?
How would you characterize the difference? I'm thinking of doing it myself, especially if it removes some understeer.
