I’m worried, or just freaking out I've just started hearing the noises in first gear tonight; In first gear only I get a whine noise when decelerating or coasting with clutch in or out. Only hear the noise in the front of the Porsche, I hear nothing in the rear.

There is no noise in 2-6, as soon as I select 1st, clutch in or out, I get the noise. I can only describe the noise as low pitch whine, no crunching, scraping or grating noises.

I’m worried that this is the issue below.

Could my front shafts be bent?

Is the first gear a bit off its mark now and needing to be replaced?

Uh oh. My guess is a twisted input shaft. Ugh. I hope I'm wrong.

It does sound like the dreaded shaft bent.
Has this just started? Has anything happened since you bought the car that could have tweeked the shaft?
Otherwise it would have been whining all along.
