Default Dutch 993TT (intro)

I have been reading RL for a while. But now owning a 1998 993TT since September 2010 it was due time for a quick introduction.

My name is Mark and I am from the Netherlands. I have owned a 3.2 Carrera and a 993 Carrera 2. But the turbo itch did not go away. So for a year now I am the proud owner of a black 993TT. Apart from the 3-spoke steering wheel and the turbo s air scoops it's in standard trim.

Although the car looks, feels and drives fantastic, my projects for 2012 include a cargraphic motor tuning stage 2 (475), a PSS10 coilover suspension upgrade and 4 new tires (incl alignment).

Looks great - congratulations! The ride height looks pretty good.

Thanks.

Although not confirmed, I assume ride height is standard RoW. Will have that checked when moving onto PSS10. It looks low enough for my taste and I am still able to negotiate the local speed bumbs without too much trouble.

Must say that I really appreciate the amount of experience and information found on the RL forum. Sure helped me with my search on tuning and suspension projects.

Beautiful Turbo. That's got to be a very rare car in Holland. Several years ago, I had many business trips to Delft. Great city, great country, great people!

The few 993TTs around in Holland are not driven that much and some (especially the S) are only kept indoors as collectors/investment items. Apart from some Porsche meetings I only recall seeing one 993TT IRL on the streets. Really too bad cause it's a stunning car and one of the great all time icons of Porsche history.

I have driven mine for little over 3000kms last year including trips to Reims France (Champagne Tour) and Dinslaken Germany (international Porsche meeting). 2012 should bring some more trips, maybe a visit to Ruf.

I also think Holland is a great country especially when you, as I do, live very close to the border with Germany. ;-) I am on the autobahn within 15 minutes. No speed limit, Porsche heaven!

Dag, Mark. Wellcome aan Rennlist! Ik woonde in Utrecht voor een jaar, toen ik was een student aan de universiteit aldaar.
And since that was in 1972, I'm afraid that's about as much (bad) Dutch as I can presently muster. But welcome anyway and enjoy the car. Are the Cargraphic power kits still based on RS-Tuning designs? I think you'll like that a lot.

Beautiful black TT, the condition looks immaculate! Just curious, what's the mileage on the car?
