The car is currently at the dealer (Porsche Classic Center) and is getting the classic shocks (Porsche Bilstein). Was able to get a good deal in combination with some other work.

Anyone that had the Porsche Classic shocks installed yet?
Interested in other 993 / 993TT experiences.

short update on the new Porsche Classic shocks. I collected the car at my PC two months ago. Due to the weather I have only recently been able to put some seat time and kilometers in it.

I have driven about 800 kilometers with the new shocks (and springs) now. So these are the Porsche Classic shocks (developed by Porsche and Bilstein) specifically for the 993 turbo. I have had my old springs replaced with factory new ones. Basically new (original) springs are integral part of the Classic shocks.

I find the new setup to be very good. Much more progressive than the old / original ones. I would not call them harsh at all. But very confidence inspiring through fast bends and sweepers. Cars stays nicely planted and very balanced. Also much more straight under hard accelerating and braking. I am very happy with them and I would certainly recommend these to anyone looking to replace their original shocks without wanting to go to harsh but still looking for a nice upgrade.

Glad that they were able to keep the ride height at the same level:
