RoW m030 with bilstein HD. Upgrade?
Hi all. Running 993tt with bilstein hd and stock springs. Thinking of moving to row m030 springs. Any thoughts? Anyone have this combo on a tt?.
Looking for lower ride height, plus stock springs have 41k on them. Shocks 1 year old. Also looking for better track handling, do 1-2 de with the tt each year.
Thanks, Ross

I've had a set of Eibach springs taking up space in the garage for almost 9 years now. I would imagine that they have about 10k miles on them. I took them off when I had PSS-9s installed. The car rides fairly low with these springs.
Let me know if you have any interest.

emotionally, it is always hard to justify..... but SAVE yourself some $$$.... and install a set of PSS10 coilovers NOW.
the HD setup is not as comfortable, nor does it handle as well.
eventually you will pull it all out again, ....and install the coilovers.
3x 993TT's have taught me this

As promised, before and after photos
96 993TT 32K miles
before with completely factory original suspension, usa spec
after with Bilstein HD B6 shocks and Turbo RoW springs, set to Turbo Row height with corner balance.
pics arent great, will try and get better ones
driving impressions: I must say, i really didnt feel a major difference in the way she felt over rough roads and bumps. Based on the fact that I was under the impression that my OEM shocks were shot, I was expecting a night and day difference. Maybe they weren't that bad to begin with.
However, i did feel a MAJOR difference in the overall handling of the car. It feels much more stable entering, holding, and exiting curves at high speed. I am much more confident in the car's road holding capability and controlability.
Before, it felt a little squirrelly in turns and I had to make constant small course corrections. I felt like I was always fighting her to stay on track. It doesnt feel that way anymore.
Plus it looks cool
Overall, I'd say it was a worthwhile upgrade.

About $1,200 on the struts and $1,500 on install with alignment and corner balance.
I got the springs used from a fellow r'lister.
Oh yeah, put fresh factory sway bar bushings in while we were in there. Old ones were hard and a little brittle.

Thanks to Bada Bings help, finally got mine lowered with new sways. Installed the RoW m030 with Bilstein HD shocks, and larger 21MM Sway.
