Default 16/16g Protomotive tune

For those thinking of good bolt on tune, Todd rebuilt my k16's & programmed 1996 ECU, along with: manual boost controller in engine bay, 710n diverters, filter, & high flow exhaust w/mufflers. Car made 400 hp & 430 tq at all wheels on 91 oct, made 445 hp & 480 tq on 100 oct, will see how long the stock clutch holds on. For the lower cost of the upgrade its outstanding, car pulls long & little lag. More than I expected

Default Another satisfied Protomotive customer

I had a "stage 1" & its was good, but this is about 40 more HP & TQ, filter & exhaust really help when reprogramming any 993. As far as pricing goes ECU's are usually $1,600ish (more for 96's) Turbo rebuilding you'll have to contact Todd & tell him what your sending, I looked at it this way, I had 34k on my turbos, if I'm gonna rebuild, put in billet wheels & get more HP. Can't put up dynos, pm me & I'll send.

What kind of exhaust are we talking here? Headers back or just sport cats? If it made that much difference maybe I should "complete" my 16/16g Protomotive install (I basically have same thing minus the exhaust and EBC).

FWIW, my stock clutch lasted about a year after I got my upgrades installed

another one for the band, well done - let me know how you found the install - cold air here in Sacramento at the moment makes the 91 oct feel like the 100 oct back in the summer months.

Exactly Iruss, it's finally cool here & both cars are like pigs in sh*t! Thanks for answering my PM's you helped my decision, I asked Todd to program for 91 oct, on dynos the power actually pulls longer than 100 oct, meaning I will never touch boost controller or get a tank of 100 oct. Car has high flow cats & mufflers, when they were off car I looked & saw some #'s but no name, so can't say who made them.My tuner did say boost controller was mandatory to get perfect tune. If you wanna see dynos, e mail michaelgt3@gmail.com
