the hoses i have are the original ones that came with the car. They are intact and on securely.

I mentioned the waste gates because if 1 is just fractionally stuck open, some of the exhaust will just bypass the turbine wheel and limit its speed. Pull on the end of the rod and with the Cats off you can see if it closes properly.
On the compressor side, there are only really 3 places (assuming your intercooler isn't cracked) that boost can be lost.
Eveyone has stated the IC hose, top + bottom but also check the 3 o-rings that seal the IC onto the throttle body.
Other issues that could affect it:
Boost control valve (N75) which has air pipes to each control box (unlikely).
Throttle position sensor (unlikely).
Poor quality fuel or excess oil in fuel?

well,
i've come to the conclusion that may car is no different than any woman i've ever dated.
i think there's a problem...
ask what's wrong (scan for codes)
answer: nothing's wrong, everything is fine (no codes present).....
but then when i try and stick it to them, they wont let me
anyway, bought a durametic and hooked it up. no codes found.
bought a MAF and replaced it...........no change
i wasnt in a position to pull the cats off but i manually actuated both waste gates and they did not seem stuck or anything
no visible cracks in intercooler
o - rings and tb seal seemed ok. ordered new ones anyway.
fuel is fresh and good quality i hope. Shell 93.
boost hoses ok, diverters replaced 1,500 miles ago with billett ones.
hooked up with durametric version 6, no codes present
might have to relegate this to a professional...

Don't bet the farm on the accuracy of the factory boost gauge - the sensor may be faulty. It's definitely faulty if it reads anything other than 0.0 with the ignition on and engine off. Try an external boost gauge - more accurate because it's not limited to 0.8 bar like the factory gauge.
